Title: Mystic Falls

Medium: Oil on Canvas

Size: 24 x 48 Inches

About: Chettle is inspired by the intensity of falling water—the cold spray, the wet roar, the raw power of it. Mystic Falls carries that impact. It is a soul cleanse, a different kind of peace, that pulls of the mystic. Close your eyes when you view this work for a moment, when you open them, allow yourself to escape into its mystique.

The Artist: Kristy Chettle is an abstract artist whose tactile approach to painting sets her apart. Born in Los Angeles, California in 1968, Chettle forgoes traditional brushes and palette knives, favoring the intimate connection of painting with her hands. Her works are characterized by deep textures, vibrant complimentary colors, and layers that carry a visceral sense of motion and raw emotion. Each piece is a reflection of her journey, interwoven with messages of environmental care and self-empowerment.
